Neuse River Flute Circle

Native American Flute Players in and around Raleigh, NC

NRFC at Duke Saturday, November 3!

It’s time for us to meet again this Saturday!   Almost everyone on our mailing list has voted for us to play at an event at Duke this Saturday. We will not meet at the Royal Bean as planned earlier.    We have been invited again this year to perform at the FALL FESTIVAL presented by the NATIVE AMERICAN STUDENT ALLIANCE at Duke University from 11am-2pm this Saturday.   Those attending should park in the Bryan Center parking lot located beside Duke Chapel and next to the Duke Student Center.   There will be an outdoor stage area set-up beside the Student Center for us to perform on.   We will plan to meet at Duke since most are coming from North Raleigh or Durham.   Directions are listed below.

Those performing should plan on about 4 songs or a couple of improvised songs.   At John’s leading, let’s try to keep these to a more Native American traditional style or theme due to the cultural nature of the event.

Please email me to let me know if you’re planning to come.  Coming thus far: Jon N., David, Kelly, Michelle,  John K., Eddie, and maybe Jane.    What’s Needed:
- They will have a sound system, but we may want to have a better one. Jon could you bring your sound system?
- For our sellers, we can have a couple of tables. Jon & David, do you plan to sell at this event?
-If  you ordered one of our new NRFC ribbon shirts, plan to bring your $50 check, made payable to Mardi Medawar, and give it to me at the event.
