Going Loco in August! NRFC Meeting Set
Fluties! Greetings! Our August meeting will be on Saturday, August 16 at 10:30 a.m. We will be at a brand new location this time: a Café called Loco Lu’s. We knew it would be a good place when we walked in and saw a huge flute-playing Kokopelli tapestry hanging on the wall! Take a look at the website for Loco Lu’s Coffeehouse: http://www.locolu.com/ The coffee and pastries here are outstanding!
This will be another great place where we can play and talk about flute playing. Some of us also will have tall tales to tell about our flute adventures. Bring a song and bring your flutes.
Who: You!
What: The NRFC August gathering
When: Saturday, August 16 at 10:30 a.m. until noonish (as usual)
Where: Loco Lu’s, 5210 Hollyridge Dr., Raleigh (Oak Park Shopping Center at Hollyridge Drive and Glenwood Ave, 3/4 of mile west of Crabtree Valley Mall)
Flutefully yours,

NRFC Gathering July 7, 2008 — Let’s Play!!!
Flute Folks, It’s a crazy month for rain and vacations! But let’s have a Flute Circle gathering on Saturday, July 12 from 10 a.m. to noon. We’ll meet at the Royal Bean again. Here’s a link for a map.
http://cityvoter.com/royal-bean-3801-hillsborough-st-raleigh-university-raleigh-nc-27607/loc/43253 It’s right across from Meredith College. Great coffee and pastries…
This time, let’s play a lot of music! Come and listen…come and play! (No pressure to play though.) But if you do play, bring your flutes and your songs. Try ‘em out on us – we’d love to hear them! We’ll have a microphone and speaker on hand. Be sure to bring your flute questions, too. And, of course, there is the acoustically great parking deck below. If you haven’t played down there, well…you ought to try it. I guarantee you’ll sound like Carlos Nakai down there, or I’ll pay your cost of admission (to the free parking deck, that is).
AND don’t forget the performance opportunity this Thursday night. Eddie writes:
