Summer NRFC Gathering! Music in a Gothic Canyon, July 11!
Sunday, July 11th - NRFC Performance at Duke Chapel from 2:00-4:00pm!
The NRFC has been granted permission to play for the 4th-time at DUKE Chapel! The assistant conductor for music at Duke Chapel, Allan Friedman, has invited us to return to play hymns, meditative and worshipful songs in the chapel. Let’s fill the historic cathedral ceilings of DUKE Chapel with the beautiful voices of the Native American flute. All are welcome of course, but since there might be guests in the chapel praying and touring, we will request that our more experienced flutists play in this venue. Some may want to just come and listen to the music in this beautiful setting. This is always one the highlights of our NRFC performance schedule and it’s a great opportunity for us to share the NAF! We simply rotate to the front to play a song until the rotation is complete, then we go again. Plan to meet at the chapel by 1:45pm. Start practicing and feel free to invite your family and friends to join us!
